BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION

We work with architects, developers and designers to ensure that buildings are accessible to people with a visual impairment. We support you in the choosing of appropriate fixtures, fittings and finishes. Our choices will allow someone who is visually impaired to successfully navigate around both the building and its surroundings.

This could be anything from:

• consulting with an architect about a project’s layout

• meeting with specialist lighting designers

• advising an interior designer on furniture and finishing choices that meet the needs of all

This consultation period should occur during a building’s construction or during a refurbishment. We support commercial buildings and the design of public spaces. We can assist everyone from shopping centres to single stores, banks to hotels, gyms to museums and anything in between.
